Happy 34th anniversary of independence! "For the Motherland, for the country, for the people!"

With all my heart I congratulate you on the greatest holiday of our people - the 34th anniversary of Independence!

On this significant day, I wish you, your families and children good health, peace and prosperity, happiness and long life. May joy, happiness and pride never leave your hearts, and may your family be blessed!

As the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized in his speeches at the ceremony dedicated to the thirty-fourth anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, high-quality education and public health are the most important issues that determine our future development. Over the past eight years, the number of places in kindergartens, including in the private sector, has increased to two and a half million, and coverage has reached 78 percent. Due to the construction of new and expansion of existing schools, an additional 1 million student places have been created. Modern textbooks and advanced pedagogical technologies bring new content and new quality to school education. During this period, there was also a sharp turnaround in higher education: coverage increased from 9% to 42%. Of particular note is the fact that 53% of our students are women. Currently, more than 2,000 of our students are studying at leading universities around the world. 750 of them are studying at the expense of the state through the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation. I would like to once again congratulate you all with all my heart on Independence Day and express my warmest wishes. May the Almighty protect our beloved country! May peace and tranquility, prosperity and happiness always accompany every person and every family!
