Tashkent State Medical University on an international scientific trip — I.I. Mechnikov State Medical University Towards new knowledge and experiences Associate professors of our department participated in the I.I. Mechnikov State Medical University in St. Petersburg, Russia, on April 22-29 of this year. During this visit, we had the opportunity not only to conduct scientific exchange, but also to gain international experience. The delegation included Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics, Head of the Scientific Project Abdullayeva D.T., Chief Specialist of the Science and Education Department of the Ministry of Health Abdullayeva D.G., and Head of the Faculty of Medicine of the Youth Academy Orifjonov D.R. During this visit, they actively participated in the conferences “Future Neurology”, “Modern Biotechnologies: for Science and Practice”, as well as the All-Russian Forum within the framework of the International DNA Day 2026. Also, during the visit, discussions were held on the following innovative grant project: "Development of innovative technologies for the diagnosis of undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia in children." This visit was an important step for us to strengthen scientific cooperation, gain new knowledge and experience, and for future projects. 

 A 20-day seminar on "Public Health Management and Disease Control in the SCO Countries" was held at Shihezi University in Shihezi, People's Republic of China. It was attended by staff from several medical universities, regional health departments and primary care systems of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 4 -21 JUNE 2025

During the trip, it became clear that the Chinese healthcare system has strong vertical management, an extensive network of institutions, advanced logistics and high-tech equipment, including the introduction of robotic surgery, a modern epidemiological infrastructure, and its own scientific developments in the field of vaccines and diagnostics. Close integration of traditional and modern medicine. China's experience demonstrates the successful coexistence and synergistic use of traditional Chinese medicine and modern clinical practice. In some cases, especially in pediatrics and the treatment of chronic diseases, traditional methods are used as part of the official treatment protocol. Openness to international cooperation. Chinese institutions are keen to develop cooperation. In particular, Professor Hongwei of Shihezi City Hospital No. 1 expressed his readiness to accept up to 5 doctors from Uzbekistan for a one-month internship every month, which will open up real prospects for the exchange of experience and improvement of skills of Uzbek specialists. More attention was paid to prevention and public health. The seminar discussed the priority areas of the prevention strategy in the Chinese healthcare system, including veterinary and sanitary control, early detection of epidemics, epidemiological surveys, sanitary and hygienic control, public education, interdepartmental cooperation, etc.
