December 10 - The day the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted

     Today marks 32 years since the adoption of the National Anthem. On December 10, 1992, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted.

✅ The law states that the anthem is a symbol of state sovereignty, and respecting it is the patriotic duty of every compatriot. It is especially emphasized that citizens of Uzbekistan and other persons living in our country must also respect our anthem.

✅ The author of the national anthem is the Hero of Uzbekistan, People's Poet of Uzbekistan Abdulla Oripov, and its music was created by the People's Artist of Uzbekistan, an outstanding composer Mutal Burkhanov. It glorifies universal feelings such as our great past, national traditions and values, peace, tranquility, interethnic harmony and brotherhood.

✅ The anthem is a symbol of our national pride, independence and future. A symbol of our independence and unity. When we listen to it and sing it, feelings of love and loyalty to the Motherland flare up in our hearts, we feel proud to be children of this country. Today, we have met another peaceful morning. This is the eternal song of our people - the day our anthem was created. It once again called on us to be proud of our Motherland, to love it, and to further strengthen our independence.

✅ The anthem deeply expresses the noble aspirations and hopes of our people, their strong faith in the future. It glorifies our courageous and honorable past, our national traditions and values, and universal human feelings such as peace, tranquility, interethnic harmony and brotherhood. 

✅The anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan serves as an important educational tool in forming love for the Motherland, deep respect for our rich history and national identity in young people, and in helping our children grow up to be well-rounded and mature people.

The text and music of the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan were approved by the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 768-XII dated December 10, 1992 “On the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
