DECEMBER 3 — INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

DECEMBER 3 — INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
Today, ensuring human dignity, its rights and interests is a priority direction of state policy in our country. In this process, special attention is paid to providing attention and practical care to our compatriots with disabilities, as well as to all our citizens, and to providing them with comprehensive support. "On this day, which is widely celebrated in our country, along with other countries of the world, I express my sincere respect and best wishes to our compatriots with disabilities, who number about 1 million in our country," said Mirziyoyev. The most powerful consolation that encourages people suffering from physical illness to live life with pleasure is hope! And the feeling of hope takes root and flourishes in hearts that have received constant love and attention... In our New Uzbekistan, which provides wide opportunities for people with disabilities, all necessary measures are being taken to ensure that no one is left behind. In particular, our state is carrying out effective reforms to return sick children to a healthy life.
It should be noted that our efforts, guided by deeply humanitarian ideas, are in harmony with the goals and objectives set by December 3 - the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. On the occasion of this date, which is widely celebrated in our country, along with other countries around the world, I express my sincere respect and best wishes to our country's nearly 1 million disabled compatriots.
As is known, in Uzbekistan, large-scale measures are being implemented to provide support and assistance to persons with disabilities by society and the state, and to actively involve them in socio-political life. Currently, a number of structures specializing in supporting citizens belonging to this category are operating effectively, in particular, the Society of Disabled People of Uzbekistan, the Association of Disabled People, the Society of the Blind, and the Society of the Deaf.
Most importantly, not a single compatriot who, by fate, became disabled is left without the love and attention of our people and state agencies, and with his work and abilities, not only takes his place in life, but also serves as an example to many with his determination, perseverance, patience, and gratitude.
