What to pay attention to when treating children with seasonal illnesses
Winter in Uzbekistan has begun its harsh days. And negative changes have begun to be observed in the health of young children. What is recommended in such a situation?
It is well known that laryngitis, acute cough and flu, which are common in young children during cold weather, are highly contagious and spread, and are included in the group of seasonal diseases, acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). According to the specialist, the number of overweight children is increasing from year to year, and allergic conditions are also increasing among children. This, in turn, causes laryngitis and acute cough to become more severe and prolonged. In such cases, it is recommended that children limit food products that can aggravate allergic diseases - sweets, sugary drinks, citrus fruits, salty, sour and spicy foods. Considering that during the acute period of the disease, inflammation can also occur in the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract, it is recommended to give easily digestible, soft and porridge-like soups and dishes. In addition, fruits and vegetables, if given boiled or stewed, will positively contribute to the recovery of sick children. In the winter, it is recommended to eat fruits and vegetables rich in various vitamins and microelements. It is advisable to eat fruits and vegetables grown in the conditions of Uzbekistan, namely apples, pears, dates, grapes, tomatoes, carrots, cabbage, beets, cucumbers, bell peppers, eggplants, pumpkins, turnips, radishes and various greens.
At the same time, in order for children's immune systems to be strong, foods prepared with the nutrients in milk, dairy products, chicken, meat products, eggs, and legumes are also beneficial for the child's body and strengthen the child's immune system. Frequent cleaning of the house at home, and ensuring that children follow personal hygiene can protect them from infection and allow them to recover faster. Children should be rinsed with mouthwash and nose rinses frequently. It is recommended to drink more fluids.
