The Year of Neighborhood Development and Community Upliftment”

In Uzbekistan, 2026 has been declared the “Year of Neighborhood Development and Society Upliftment,” a title given during the address of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis, the main goal of which is to transform neighborhoods into places of kindness, increase socio-economic activity, and strengthen national unity. As part of this initiative, a separate state program will be adopted for the development of more than 9,000 neighborhoods, which will set tasks aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, creating jobs, and improving the activities of the neighborhood institution.

Main goals:

Increasing economic activity: It is intended to develop entrepreneurship through neighborhoods and ensure financial stability.
Raising youth in a spirit of patriotism: Active participation of youth in the development of the country will be ensured.
State program: A separate state program will be developed to fulfill the assigned tasks.
Turning neighborhoods into unifying centers: The neighborhood will be strengthened as a place of peace, harmony, and education
